The Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor" is strengthening local production and preparing the site for the full technological cycle production of Jetour T1 and Jetour T2 crossovers, including body welding and painting.
The enterprise has begun the installation of a new section of the robotic welding line. It will be part of the production expansion and is aimed at increasing the level of automation and efficiency of car assembly.
The development of capacities is being carried out within the framework of a strategic agreement between "Avtotor" and Jetour Auto, effective since April 2024. The document provides for a phased increase in production volumes, expansion of the model range, and transition to a full production cycle in Russia.
In 2025, the plant already introduced a modernized welding line. This allowed for the establishment of production of several models with body welding and painting, including Jetour Dashing, Jetour X70 Plus, as well as Soueast S06 and Soueast S07.
The next stage is associated with deepening localization and increasing the share of Russian operations in production. This should improve product quality, reduce dependence on imports, and strengthen the position of models in the Russian market. The project also provides for the expansion of production capacities and the creation of new jobs in the region.
