The holding "Silovye Mashiny" has launched a full cycle of production of generating equipment. The main innovation was the technology for manufacturing the hot section of turbines, said General Designer Alexander Ivanovsky.
These elements operate at temperatures up to 1500 °C and high pressures, so they require complex materials and precise technologies.
The technology for manufacturing the hot section of the turbine is the main know-how of this equipment. Companies with such competencies constitute the top league of the industry. Only a few manufacturers in the world belong to it.
Ivanovsky added that production cooperation covers several enterprises at once. Turbines are produced by Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, generators by "Electrosila", boiler equipment by "Krasny Kotelshchik", and control systems by "Reostat".
It should be recalled that after 2022, Russian industry focused on import-substituted turbines after the refusal of supplies from Siemens and General Electric.

Earlier it became known that Uralsky Turbine Plant began work on creating the first 330 MW steam turbine – the largest installation of this class in Russia.
