By the end of 2026, two new Project 22350 frigates are planned to be laid down at shipyards in Russia — Admiral Kapitanets and Admiral Vysotsky. This was reported by the Pacific Fleet newspaper Boyevaya Vakhta.
Three ships of the series are already serving in the Northern Fleet — Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov, Admiral Kasatonov, and Admiral Golovko. In 2025, Admiral Amelko was launched and is currently undergoing sea trials.
Project 22350 frigates serve as carriers of modern missile weapons, including Kalibr cruise missiles and hypersonic Tsirkon missiles.
The ships are also equipped with the Poliment-Redut air defence system, the Paket-NK anti-submarine system, and an artillery mount. A Ka-27 helicopter can be based on board.
