KamAZ will keep a five-day work week in May 2026. This was announced by the press service of the car factory after the management assessed the current workload of the production lines.
General Director Sergey Kogogin signed an order to work in May according to the standard schedule — 18 working days, taking into account holidays and weekends.
The decision was made possible thanks to new contracts for the supply of equipment and the successful completion of several production projects. The plant received a sufficient volume of orders to load capacity for the entire month.
Earlier, the company warned that if the situation on the truck market does not improve, KamAZ may switch to a four-day work week from June 1. This measure was not required in May, but the management does not rule out that the issue will become relevant again by the summer. The final decision on the June schedule will be made closer to the end of spring, when the dynamics of demand and the order book will be clear.
