The Federal Tax Service has filed a lawsuit for bankruptcy of JSC "Meteor Lift Shcherbinka" — a structure of the Meteor Lift group, created on the basis of the former Otis business in Russia. The application was sent to the Arbitration Court of Moscow on April 9, 2026.
The company announced the repayment of obligations to the budget. However, according to experts, as of February 2026, the debt amounted to about 125.8 million rubles, including VAT and income tax.
At the same time, the situation in JSC "Meteor Lift Moscow" is deteriorating. The company plans to optimize personnel and reduce payroll costs by approximately 150 million rubles per year. Up to 10% of employees may be laid off.
The situation is developing against the background of a general market decline. Elevator production in Russia in early 2026 decreased by more than 40%, and purchases by regions — by more than half. This leads to a decrease in the workload of key manufacturers.
