Satellite communication and internet in Russia will reach a new level in the coming years

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov spoke about plans to modernize the industry

Russia is preparing for a large-scale update of the entire space industry — from satellite communications to deep space flights. In the coming years, the authorities plan to radically improve the quality of the Internet, navigation and Earth observation. The corresponding plans were announced by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov at the solemn ceremony of awarding employees of the rocket and space industry, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight.

According to him, in the coming years, Russia will have to significantly strengthen its position in key areas of the industry. We are talking about a new quality of satellite communications, the Internet, navigation and Earth monitoring.

It is also planned to modernize cosmodromes and bring the manned program to a new level, including further exploration of the Moon and deep space.

Manturov stressed that achieving these goals requires full commitment from the entire industry. At the same time, the private segment of the space industry is also actively developing. According to him, the unification of the efforts of the state, business and science should give the maximum effect.

In conclusion, he thanked the specialists of the rocket and space industry and wished them success, implementation of projects, well-being and good health.
