Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant bought the workshop of former partner Meteor Lift in Moscow

The assembly of own winches has already been launched on the vacated 7.7 thousand "squares"

Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (part of DOM.RF) bought a production facility in New Moscow from a joint venture with Meteor Lift, Kommersant found out. The deal amounted to 428 million rubles, and on the vacated 7.7 thousand square meters, a line for assembling own winches, an experimental workshop and a service center were immediately deployed.

The seller, Meteor Lift Shcherbinka JSC, curtailed the production of geared winches due to the expiration of the certificate and transferred gearless technologies to a site in St. Petersburg.

Sergey Firstov, financial director of ShLZ, confirmed to the publication that the new owner's equipment has already been installed in the workshops. The price per square meter of 55 thousand rubles turned out to be at the upper limit of the market, but for a plant with revenue of 33.6 billion and net profit of 2.17 billion for 2025, this is a working investment in import substitution of components.

The deal looks like a logical cleanup of the asset against the backdrop of falling demand. Rosstat recorded a 40.3% reduction in elevator production in the country in January-February 2026 - developers are cutting the launch of new projects due to the contraction of the mortgage market. While Meteor Lift is losing installation volumes (minus 26.3% per year), ShLZ is increasing its share by consolidating the production of critical components within its perimeter.
