Serial production of semi-trailers and loading/unloading platforms for livestock transportation has started in Bryansk. The line was launched by Berdex, which is part of the VAER group.
The project budget reached 100 million rubles. 68.5 million was allocated by the federal Industrial Development Fund, and another 7.5 million was added by the regional fund. The funds were used to purchase metalworking machines and painting booths.
Once at full capacity, the plant will assemble up to 60 units of equipment per year. Key components, including axle units, hydraulics, and steel and aluminum profiles, are purchased from domestic suppliers.
The semi-trailers are designed for pigs, calves, and cows. They feature hydraulic lifting floors, a lightweight galvanized frame, and improved maneuverability in a road train. The design uses a patented aluminum profile of its own design, which extends the life of the equipment to 15-20 years. The increased usable area allows for more animals to be accommodated without compromising their comfort.
