The Tverstroymash plant has introduced a new model of the ARL35 sliding semi-trailer. The development is part of a line of ultra-light semi-trailers created by the company's engineers.
The main feature of the machine is its reduced curb weight, which is 10.5 tons. This indicator allows carriers to load equipment to the maximum without violating legislative restrictions on axles. This is especially true for road trains with 4x2 tractors, where every kilogram counts.
The designers declare a carrying capacity of 35,000 kg, but in order to comply with regulations on public roads, it is recommended to carry up to 26 tons. This solution helps to avoid fines from automatic weight and dimension control points, the number of which is growing every year. The loading height of the new product reaches 880 mm, which facilitates the entry of equipment. The platform length varies from 11 to 17 meters, and the width is 2540 mm. If necessary, it is expanded to three meters with special wideners.
Many details have been thought out for the equipment for ease of operation. For example, 56 cargo lashing points were installed here and extension ladders made of light alloy were laid. The engineers equipped the semi-trailer with an EBS electronic braking system and LED lighting equipment. A function for adjusting the load on the first axle is also available, which helps to correctly distribute the weight between the tractor and the trailer. The model is suitable for construction, road and agricultural machinery, as well as for pipes, beams and containers. All equipment has been tested for reliability and is ready for harsh operating conditions.
