"Progress MS-35" passed factory tests and went to Baikonur

The cargo ship completed pre-launch checks in Korolev

The Progress MS-35 cargo spacecraft has completed the factory preparation stage at the Energia Corporation and has been sent to the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The spacecraft has successfully completed a full cycle of control tests, which confirmed its readiness for flight and docking with the International Space Station.

Before shipment, engineers checked all the onboard systems of the ship. Specialists tested navigation, control of docking and orientation engines, as well as the docking system. Some of the checks were carried out using special equipment that simulates the flight program: instruments and programs practiced the reaction to control pulses and commands from Earth.

A separate stage was occupied by pneumatic vacuum tests in a pressure chamber, where the ship was tested in conditions close to space. The final step was the author's inspection and output control, after which the truck was allowed to be transported.

The journey from the enterprise in Korolev near Moscow to Baikonur will take more than three days. Upon arrival at the cosmodrome, the preparation of the ship will continue at the technical complex: specialists will conduct additional checks before docking with the launch vehicle and launch.

The main task of the mission is to deliver fuel, water, food, scientific equipment and necessary items for the station crew to the ISS. After reaching orbit, Progress MS-35 will perform automatic docking, after which the cosmonauts will begin unloading.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the construction of the new Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region should be completed by the end of 2026. This was announced by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.
