By 2029, the Donbiotech plant plans to start producing threonine, tryptophan, and valine with a volume of more than 55,000 tons, as well as expand the product line with feed vitamins and enzymes. This was announced by the head of Roskhim, Eduard Davydov.

One of the first biotechnological clusters of deep processing in Russia will appear within the framework of the national project "Bioeconomics", he specified.

By 2028, we plan to completely replace Chinese imports of lysine at Donbiotech in Volgodonsk.

Davydov emphasized that it is critically important for Russia not only to provide the market with finished products, but also to create the entire food chain within the country, from components for the production of finished products to R&D, technologies, and market protection.

Lysine is a critically important amino acid for animal husbandry, it is obtained through deep processing of wheat with the help of special bacteria.
