How to top up a "Troika" card without terminals now: a new feature in 2GIS

The app now makes it possible to top up the card by any amount and purchase a pass

A new feature has been launched in the 2GIS app — it can now be used to top up the "Troika" transport card in Moscow. Users have access both to regular balance top-ups and to the purchase of passes for different periods, from one day to one year.

To use this option, open the "Travel" section, select "Troika," and enter the card number. After that, you can immediately see the balance and add funds — payment is made with a card from any bank.

After topping up, the data must be written to the card itself. In the metro, it is enough to tap it at the turnstile, and on surface transport, press the button next to the validator and tap the card. Only after this will the funds become available for trips.

The app also displays transaction history and the current balance, which makes it easier to track transport expenses.

The functionality is already available in the current versions of 2GIS for iOS and Android and works with physical "Troika" cards.
