Designers at the Tutaev Motor Plant developed a universal engine stand. It will suit V8 models and inline six-cylinder units. The enterprise is part of KamAZ and is located in the Yaroslavl Region.
The plant is now setting up production of the new R6 engine with a displacement of 13 liters. Builders are expected to finish the work in May. As early as July, the first engines will be sent to the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant.
The new tooling will simplify logistics inside the workshop. Specialists took into account all safety requirements. The modernization made it possible to reduce the time needed for line changeover. The plant is confidently moving toward its goal of providing partners with reliable power units.
The stand is needed for storing and moving products within the section. Engineers from the operations service took into account the features of both types of engines. This is another step in preparing the workshop. The equipment will now help set up production without unnecessary delays. Everything is proceeding according to schedule despite the scale of the tasks. Lifting heavy units will become safer.
