"Yandex" is completing the final testing of "Drops" headphones with a built-in Alice AI assistant. The company announced that the device is already ready for launch, and the sales start date will be announced in the near future.
The headphones were first introduced in December 2025. Their main task is to give the user the ability to communicate with Alice by voice without taking out the phone. Through "Drops", you will be able to ask questions, control music and use other assistant functions on the go.
One of the key features is the "My Memory" function. It allows you to save ideas, plans, lists and reminders by voice. Alice automatically converts these requests into structured notes in the chat. For example, the user can ask to record a list of documents for a visa, save a movie recommendation or record the arrival time of a courier, and later return to this information via chat or the voice interface of the headphones.
"Drops" are conceived as an independent voice gateway to Yandex services: the headphones allow you to capture thoughts and tasks in the moment without switching to the smartphone screen. After the final checks, the device will be released to the market - the exact date and price will appear in the official channels of the company.
