Russians across the country faced a massive outage in the operation of Sberbank's services. According to the failure detector website, a sharp increase in complaints began at 08:14 — thousands of customers could not log into the mobile application and web version of the bank to access their accounts.
Entrepreneurs were particularly affected — the "Sberbank Business Online" platform was unavailable, which paralyzed the conduct of morning financial transactions. Failures were recorded in different regions: the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug led in the number of complaints — 41%, St. Petersburg — 15%, Leningrad Region — 13%, Primorsky Krai — 10%, Ryazan Region — 5%. Local residents noted the impossibility of logging in, which is critical for remote settlements.
Users described various problems: application launch failure, authorization errors, failures of individual online banking functions. The most frequent were the lack of access to the application, the inability to log into your personal account, and problems with "Sberbank Business Online". An analysis by device showed that Android devices were affected in 66.3% of cases, iOS — in 32.7%.
Sberbank has not yet given an official comment on the causes of the failure and the timing of the restoration of services.
