A detachment of Pacific Fleet ships consisting of the corvettes "Sovershennyy," "Rezkiy," and the medium sea tanker "Pechenga" arrived on a business visit to the port of Thilawa in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Ministry of Defence reported.
On shore, the Russian sailors were welcomed by representatives of the Russian Embassy and officers of the Myanmar Navy. A cultural program has been prepared for the crews: they will get acquainted with local sights and traditions, and will also take part in sporting competitions.
The ships departed from Vladivostok on February 12 to carry out missions in the Asia-Pacific region. Before calling at Myanmar, they had already visited the Malaysian port of George Town.
