Bosch became "Engels": Russian power tools are being produced at the former plant of the German giant

Development is being carried out with partners from China and other countries

The plant in the city of Engels, which previously operated under the Bosch brand, has officially become part of the Russian holding "E1 Grupp" and resumed production under the "Engels" brand. The enterprise has preserved its key asset — its team of specialists: 96% of the 210 employees are former workers of the Bosch plant.

Our goal is to create competitive products that will become the foundation for the country's technological sovereignty in the power tool sector.
Sergey Zakora, General Director of OOO "Engels Elektroinstrumenty"

The plant is already operating at full capacity. The lineup includes 16 models of angle grinders (from 850 W to 2.6 kW, 125 mm and 230 mm discs) and two models of hammer drills. The tools are available in the largest retail chains and online stores. In April 2026, sales of die grinders and the company's own accessories will begin. Plans include corded rotary hammers and a new generation of cordless tools, the development of which is being carried out with partners from China and other countries.
