In 2025, Russian courts issued 280,569 rulings on the deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle — the lowest figure since 2022, according to materials from the State Traffic Inspectorate analyzed by TASS.
More than 210,000 of these decisions concern drivers who were driving while intoxicated or refused to undergo a medical examination. For comparison: in 2022, 364,176 people were deprived of their licenses, in 2023 — about 340,000, and in 2024 — about 299,000. Thus, the figure has been declining for the fourth year in a row.
In total, more than 138 billion traffic violations were recorded in Russia in 2025.
