The Russian holding «Cordiant» has officially launched a new flagship model on the market — the Gislaved One W winter studded tire. This is the brand's first tire developed from scratch exclusively by domestic engineers of the «Intyre» scientific and technical center without the involvement of foreign platforms.
When creating the model, the specialists relied on many years of accumulated experience and technological groundwork preserved at the production sites in Kaluga and Ulyanovsk, which were previously part of the Continental and Bridgestone concerns. The designers had a clear task: to create a modern, high-tech product capable of competing with leading global counterparts.
The engineers managed to harmoniously combine three qualities that are most important for a winter tire:
• reliable grip on ice and packed snow due to the optimized arrangement of studs and the updated rubber compound
• confident directional stability at high speeds
• noticeably reduced noise level, which is especially important for daily use in urban conditions and on the highway.
The new product will be available in 75 sizes with a landing diameter from 16 to 22 inches — this covers almost the entire current fleet of crossovers and premium and mid-price passenger cars.
The start of sales of Gislaved One W is scheduled for autumn 2026. Thus, next winter season, Russian car owners will be able to evaluate the first fully domestic flagship studded tire of the new generation.
