Rosprirodnadzor Identified Violations at the Plant Producing T-80BVM Tanks and TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" Systems

Elevated nitrogen dioxide emissions were detected at AO "Omsktransmash"

Rosprirodnadzor recorded elevated emissions of nitrogen dioxide in the area around the Omsktransmash plant in Omsk. For two consecutive days, January 27 and 28, 2026, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the maximum permissible standards — by 16% on the first day and by 12% on the second.

Dispersion calculations showed that the main contribution to air pollution on those days came from emission sources located on the territory of AO "Omsktransmash".

The agency sent the enterprise a warning about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory environmental requirements.

It is worth recalling that Omsktransmash produces modern modifications of T-80BVM tanks, TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" heavy flamethrower systems, and PTS-4 amphibious transporters.

Governor of Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko reported in December 2025 that the Omsktransmash workshops would be modernized.
