The Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant (Omsktransmash, part of Rostec) has released a new batch of T-80BVM tanks for the Russian army. The footage appeared on social networks.
The photograph shows that some of the tanks have factory-installed rear projection protection, protecting the crew and ammunition from kamikaze drones.
The T-80BVM is a further modernization of the T-80BV tank. The vehicle is equipped with a more advanced 125-millimeter 2A46M-4 gun, a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner's sight, Relikt dynamic protection, and a modified gas turbine engine.
Technical characteristics of the T-80BVM:
Tank weight - 46 tons, engine power - 1250 hp, maximum speed on the highway - 70 km/h, on a dirt road - 45 km/h, depth of overcoming a water obstacle with appropriate equipment - 5 m.
