The Jeland (Jaecoo) J6 and J7 crossovers have received Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS): the models will be produced by AGS LLC at the facilities of the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg, according to the Avtopotok Telegram channel.
According to the certification documents, the front-wheel drive version of the J6 will receive a 1.5-liter engine, while the all-wheel drive modification will be equipped with a 1.6 engine. The J7 is certified only with front-wheel drive and a 1.6 engine.
Earlier, Rosstandart issued OTTS for Omoda C5 and C7 crossovers of local assembly. The certificates will be valid until February 16, 2027. The documents feature a new brand for the Russian market, Jeland — its production will also be established at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region.
