Field tests of the KAMAZ-65119 unmanned dump truck have started in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on the territory of the Karansky granite quarry. According to the agreement reached directly at the site, quarry specialists are checking how the autonomous truck performs tasks assigned by the operator.
I believe that the signing is the beginning of the introduction of high technologies, namely unmanned technologies, at industrial facilities, at road facilities, which, in turn, increases labor productivity, taking into account the reduction of costs and the speed of work performed.
The KAMAZ-65119 model, equipped with advanced navigation and control systems, is designed to optimize logistics in mining operations, where traditional management methods face limitations related to safety and efficiency.
The initiative to organize the tests comes from the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) and the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin. The Donetsk enterprise has reached an agreement with the public joint-stock company "KamAZ" on joint work, which will not only test the equipment in real conditions, but also lay the foundation for further partnership. In the future, the parties plan to develop long-term projects for the creation, implementation and demonstration of autonomous specialized equipment, including its adaptation for various industries.
Current tests focus on assessing the reliability of the system in difficult geological conditions, with an emphasis on the accuracy of task execution and integration with existing quarry infrastructures.
