The Ministry of Transport of Russia will present four options for the development of high-speed railway (HSR) directions to President Vladimir Putin in March. This was announced by Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin.

According to Andrey Nikitin, one of the proposed routes will be a highway from Moscow to Minsk. The final decision will be made by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The implementation of the HSR-1 Moscow — St. Petersburg project continues. The "Russian Railways" holding has already started the construction of ten specialized production sites focused on the production of structural elements for artificial structures of the first branch of the highway.
The length of the new railway will be about 700 km. It will pass through six regions of the country.
