Three new residents of the "Lotos" special economic zone (part of the Caspian cluster) plan to launch their production facilities by 2029. Total investments in these projects will exceed 2.7 billion rubles. This was announced by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy of the Astrakhan Region, Vitaly Shchepin.
At the end of 2025, the status of resident was assigned to three companies — JSC "KIT Shipbuilding Lotos", LLC "Volga Gas Generator Plant" and LLC "Astrakhan Pipe Plant".
JSC "KIT Shipbuilding Lotos" will produce ship components and engage in large-unit assembly of "river-sea" class vessels. The total investment in this project will be about 2.3 billion rubles. Completion of construction work and launch of production is planned for 2029.
LLC "Volga Gas Generator Plant" plans to establish the production of gas generators in 2028. The investment in this project will exceed 262 million rubles.
LLC "Astrakhan Pipe Plant" will produce single-layer polyethylene pipes intended for water supply, drainage, pressure sewerage and transportation of gaseous fuel. The company will start operating in 2028. More than 184 million rubles will be spent on the implementation of the project.
