The Ministry of Energy is considering the possibility of localizing the production in Russia of Iranian gas turbines for power plants. This was stated by the head of the ministry, Sergey Tsivilyov, on the sidelines of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries.
The minister clarified that Iran already has its own production of such equipment, but the details of the possible project have not yet been disclosed.
We are considering the issue of localizing their production in the Russian Federation.
One of the largest manufacturers in this field in Iran is Marna Group. The company specializes in the construction of power plants and industrial electrification. The Iranians have already obtained a license from the German company Siemens to produce type F gas turbines.
Earlier, a new enterprise for the repair and production of gas turbine equipment was launched in Tatarstan for nearly 1 billion rubles. The first fully localized turbine running on a methane-hydrogen mixture may be produced by the end of 2027.
