The company "Power Machines" won a lawsuit against the Kaluga Turbine Plant (KTZ) for 96.5 million rubles due to the disruption of hydro unit equipment deliveries. Initially, the claim amounted to 689 million rubles, but the court deemed it disproportionate to the plaintiff's losses.
According to the contract, the Kaluga enterprise was supposed to deliver the equipment and complete the installation work by August 11, 2023, but the actual execution was delayed until the end of 2024. A penalty was provided for each day of delay - 0.1-0.2% of the cost of the batch or stage of work.
The defendant refused to pay and asked to reduce the penalty, citing external circumstances - interruptions with components due to sanctions and the need to restructure logistics.
KTZ is the main manufacturer of OK-90A-1 "Azurite" and OK17-M "Mirage" steam turbine units for nuclear-powered strategic missile submarines of Project 955 "Borei" and Project 885M "Yasen-M".
Earlier www1.ru reported that the personal initiative of an engineer from the Chelyabinsk NPO "Electromashina" accelerated the production of protection for the T-90M and the "Okhotnik" combat modules.
