A fundamentally new refueler for airplanes and helicopters has been developed for fuel and lubricants supply units. This was announced by the head of the Missile Fuel and Fuel Department of the Resource Support Department of the Ministry of Defense, Vladimir Demirov.
According to him, we are talking about a universal special liquids refueler (ZSZhU). The prototype was built according to the "five in one" scheme.
On one basic chassis, it is possible to refuel equipment with aviation oils and oil mixtures, alcohol and water-alcohol mixtures, as well as hydraulic fluids. This one refueler will replace three obsolete special liquids refuelers of Soviet design.
Demirov added that equipment for transporting and storing aviation fuel has also appeared in the Russian army. We are talking about ATZ-20-6560 airfield refuelers with increased cross-country ability with a fuel tank with a volume of 20 cubic meters and ATZ-20-65201-avia with improved performance characteristics, the military added.
