The company ALEVKURP modernized the Soviet short-range air defense system Pechora (export version of the S-125 Neva). The first combat missile launches from the updated anti-aircraft missile system took place on the territory of a foreign customer, the press service of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus reported.
During the live firing tests, the Pechora air defense system hit a UAV of an aircraft type. According to its technical characteristics, the modernized Pechora complex has become consistent with Pechora-2BM.
What was improved in the air defense system
ALEVKURP integrated a special set of radio engineering devices and blocks into the anti-aircraft complex.
As a result of the modernization, the detection range, range and altitude of target engagement, noise immunity of the complex and other parameters have been significantly increased.
Thus, the service life of military equipment was extended.
After the tests, the management of ALEVKURP agreed to supply several modernized air defense systems to a foreign partner. The exact volume of the order is not disclosed.
