For the First Time in Russia: Ozon Bank Launches ATMs with Instant Debit Card Issuance

The devices have already been installed in Moscow and St. Petersburg

Ozon Bank has launched the first ATMs in Russia that can not only dispense cash but also instantly issue debit cards. The new feature is now available in Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to the bank's press service.

The bank presented a prototype of the device in the fall of 2025 at the Finopolis forum. Currently, the first three ATMs with updated functionality are already working for customers, and by the end of the first quarter of 2026, the technology will appear in all 43 cities where Ozon Bank operates.

To implement the project, engineers equipped the ATMs with an additional storage module designed for several dozen cards, and software that allows the client to be authenticated using a QR code. After authorization, the system issues and activates a debit card in a few minutes.

To use the service, the user must be an Ozon Bank client and be identified through "Gosuslugi."

Ozon Bank, which has a universal license from the Central Bank, develops financial services for private and corporate clients — from debit and credit cards to online accounting and cash management services.

As of the beginning of February 2026, the bank has more than 39 million active clients and more than 400 of its own ATMs across the country.
