Sber, together with the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, has started teaching the GigaChat neural network the Tatar language. This was announced by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the bank's Management Board.
A data array was created for training, which includes literature, press, and educational materials in the Tatar language.

Artificial intelligence technologies are a tool that allows us to recreate what has been lost and preserve cultural heritage, which is extremely important for maintaining the country's sovereignty and identity.
According to him, residents of Tatarstan are one of the largest ethnic groups in Russia, and they actively use GigaChat in Russian, so it was decided to train the neural network specifically in Tatar. Airat Khasyanov, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, called the project a priority in cooperation with federal technology partners.
Sber added that GigaChat is also studying Udmurt, Altai, Bashkir, and Buryat languages.
