The Russian electronics market contracted by 15–20% in 2025, but some segments showed growth. The smart speaker market stands out in particular, with sales increasing by approximately 12% compared to the previous year. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Vadim Eremin, Commercial Director of Alice and Yandex Smart Devices divisions.
The expert explains that despite the general difficulties, the smart device segment is growing due to changing consumer habits. Such devices are gradually becoming widespread: speakers are gradually entering every home, acting as basic household appliances.
Growth is supported by the introduction of artificial intelligence, which expands the functionality of familiar devices. Speakers are gaining new features, becoming "smarter" and more integrated into the ecosystem of home technologies, which creates an additional incentive for purchases.
The trend indicates that the smart device segment in 2026 will continue to perform better than the overall electronics market, due to a combination of mass adoption and technological development.
