The company "N-Gin," which created the domestic game engine Nau Engine, has officially ceased to exist. The liquidation process of the legal entity was completed on February 2, 2026 — a record of this appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The decision to close was made back in August 2025.
VK Holding planned to invest 1 billion rubles in the project. In 2023, the engine received its name, and a team of developers was formed. Nau Engine was conceived as an open-source project with neural network support. However, the developers' Telegram channel has not been updated since February 2025.
In February 2025, it was reported that technical support for the Nau Engine game engine was transferred to ITMO University, and the project itself is in the beta testing stage. The developers planned to collect feedback from users and refine the engine within a year.
