Entrepreneurs are buying passenger cars in Russia less and less often

The share of such vehicles in the country's fleet amounted to only 14.4% in 2025

The share of legal entities in the Russian passenger car market decreased to 14.4% in 2025. This happened amid a significant decline in new car purchases.

Last year, companies purchased 191.5 thousand new cars, which is 31% lower than in 2024.

The indicator has continued to decline for the third year in a row. In 2022, the share of legal entities was 24.2%, in 2023 it was 22.3%, and in 2024 it was 17.6%. If in 2022 almost every fourth car sold was registered to a legal entity, then in 2025 this figure fell to every seventh.

The most popular cars among corporate clients were LADA passenger vehicles. Last year, 50.6 thousand units were purchased, accounting for 26.4% of total sales volume. In second place was the Chinese Haval with 18.2 thousand units, and in third was the Belarusian Belgee with 13.4 thousand cars.

At the top of the model ranking for 2025, the LADA Granta is once again in the lead, with 16.1 thousand units sold. Rounding out the top five are LADA models: the Largus station wagon with 11 thousand cars sold, the Niva Travel SUV with 8.7 thousand, and the Vesta with 8.4 thousand. The Haval Jolion crossover with 8.1 thousand units also made it into the top five.
