In 2025, the Rutube video hosting platform was subjected to more than 1.4 billion cyberattacks. This was stated by the company "GPM Tsifrovye Innovatsii." Cyber defense systems successfully repelled 3.5 million phishing attacks. Every day, hackers made approximately 9,000 attempts.
Specialists also prevented more than 200 DDoS attacks on the holding's digital assets. A significant portion of them was recorded in the period from September to December of last year. One of the largest attacks reached a capacity of 1.5 Tbit/s.
Cybersecurity manager Aleksei Zhukov stated that it is strategically important to continuously improve cybersecurity. According to him, the number of attacks increased sevenfold, and attackers are actively using social engineering methods.
