Analyst explained the invincibility of the BMPT "Terminator": it cuts down trees like a laser

Tank support fighting vehicles received additional armor

Russian tank support fighting vehicles (BMPT) "Terminator" have received additional armor kits. The characteristics of the equipment were described by military analyst, reserve captain first rank Vasily Dandykyn.

He recalled that the "Terminator" is based on the T-90 chassis and uses 30-millimeter cannons and anti-tank guided missiles. At the same time, not many BMPTs were built, but the vehicle has already proven itself confidently.

"Terminator" — you understand why, because it was not easy to kill it. It is that kind of vehicle, protected by armor, and now its armor is being further reinforced, so the vehicle's firepower and survivability make it possible to carry out tasks both in destroying armored targets and in destroying fortified areas.
Vasily Dandykyn, military analyst

Tank crews clarified that the "Terminator" is used to perform specific tasks, such as covering strikes or destroying tree lines while supporting infantry and tanks.

The rate of fire changes here. At a low rate, the firing speed is from 180 to 240; at a fast, high rate, it goes from 550 rounds per minute. It mows everything down like a laser, cutting it off.
Alexander Ivanov, gunner of the BMPT "Terminator"

Earlier in Russia, a simple way was devised to convert the T-90M "Proryv" and T-72B3M into the BMPT "Terminator". To replace the turret, only an adapter ring will be required.
