During the preliminary hearing, Tupolev stated its readiness for pre-trial negotiations and submitted written explanations. Tatneft sent the defendant a draft settlement agreement, while simultaneously confirming the claims in case of a lack of agreement. The court admitted all documents and recognized the preparation of the case for consideration on the merits as completed.

The lawsuit, filed on October 9, is related to the demand to return unjust enrichment and interest; earlier in July, the court partially satisfied Tatneft's claims for 6 billion rubles (5.6 billion - unjust enrichment, 556 million - penalty, 8 million - state fee).

According to media reports, the dispute concerns the return of funds paid for the construction of four Tu-214 passenger aircraft for the airline "UVT Aero", owned by Tatneft.
