Federal Tax Service Sues Former Toyota Tsusho Plant in Tolyatti, Seeking Tens of Millions of Rubles

The tax dispute dates back to 2024

The Federal Tax Service (FTS) has filed a lawsuit seeking to recover 29 million rubles in tax arrears from Tolyatti-based auto component manufacturer Summato LLC. This enterprise (formerly known as the High Lex Rus plant) was owned by Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corp.

In 2024, the Japanese side sold the plant to Gumma Line LLC. After that, it was renamed Summato, where they began producing mechanical cables for gearboxes. However, the large tax arrears arose from the decision of Japanese creditors to "forgive" the plant's debt of about 350 million rubles shortly before the deal.

The FTS considered this as non-operating income of the company, from which taxes should be paid. This became the basis for a lawsuit to recover the debt.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that plans for the development of the former Toyota and Hyundai plants in St. Petersburg became known.
