Restoration work on power grids in the Murmansk region continues for the fourth day without interruption. On January 23, five supports of four power transmission lines (PTL) were damaged on the "Rosseti North-West" networks.
The Governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis, reported that the restoration of power supply in the region using a temporary scheme will take at least 24 hours.
Zero visibility complicates the use of helicopters, and the difficult terrain with steep climbs makes it difficult to deliver the necessary equipment and materials. "Burlak" all-terrain vehicles and other specialized equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are used to send workers to the scene.
So far, only the second power transmission line support has been installed with the help of a helicopter. The structure was assembled on the ground, secured, lifted and installed on site.
Full restoration with permanent supports — not less than a week.
According to the latest data from the authorities, electricity has been restored on a permanent basis in 80% of homes, while rotation continues at 20% of addresses — electricity is supplied temporarily.
Two of the five collapsed power transmission line supports in the Murmansk region were in operation for 60 years. It was not possible to find replacements for the damaged supports on site. New structures will be brought from Karelia and the Leningrad region.
