Ethiopia has become the first foreign buyer of Russian reconnaissance drones "Orion". The footage appeared on social networks.
The version for this country differs significantly from the Russian one. In particular, there are no suspension points for weapons, and the optoelectronic station has been shifted to the front of the drone.
It can be concluded that the Ethiopian side purchased a purely reconnaissance version of the "Orion" under the number OV-1921.
This is the first delivery of the "Kronshtadt" company for a foreign customer. There have been no official reports of the sale of "Orions" abroad.
As a reminder, the range of the "Orion" is up to 1440 km in autonomous mode or when using satellite communications. The control radius with a repeater is up to 300 km. In the strike version, the drone can carry up to 250 kg of payload.
