Azimut, a company within the Rostec State Corporation, has installed a DME/NL 2700 radio beacon at Minsk Airport. The device is designed to measure the distance of an aircraft relative to the installation point and is part of an integrated landing system. This will allow aircraft to navigate in any weather conditions and will increase the capacity of Minsk Airport.
Azimut's air navigation equipment is already operating successfully in various regions of Russia, from Moscow to the Kuril Islands. In addition, it is used for air traffic control at airports in Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Abkhazia.
The company develops and mass-produces turnkey equipment for civil aviation: communications, navigation, landing, surveillance, and air traffic management automation systems. In addition, Azimut implements integrated projects for equipping and re-equipping airfields and air traffic control centers.
