The pilot testing of the dynamic monitoring system for climatically active substances in the air has been completed in Moscow. The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the capital has given the green light to continue work on the project.
The "4D dynamic monitoring" system has shown high efficiency. It automatically tracked the level of pollutants in the air and accurately determined the sources of pollution with an accuracy of up to 0.5 meters. Drones equipped with gas analyzers were used to take measurements. The time required to obtain results did not exceed one minute, which significantly speeds up the process of assessing the environmental situation.
The technology allows predicting changes in the air, quickly identifying sources of pollution and responding to them promptly. In the context of the ban on drone flights over Moscow, the developers created a simulation model, which allowed testing effectively.
The pilot project took place from May to November 2025 at Vorobyovy Gory. A source with variable sound intensity was used as a substitute for pollutants, which provided a realistic test of the system.
Following the successful testing, the department expressed support for further development of the project.
In 2026, the Russian Space Systems holding plans to test the new technology at industrial facilities and in areas with high levels of environmental risk, which could significantly improve air quality in the urban environment.
