Russia to Increase Production of "BAS S 80 Agro" Agrodrones to 500 Units in 2026

The device is used for field treatment, fertilization, and seed sowing

In 2026, the production of the "BAS S 80 Agro" unmanned aerial vehicle (S-80 agrodrone) in Russia is planned to increase to 500 units, it was announced at the exhibition on the development of autonomous transport with the participation of President Vladimir Putin. In 2027, production will amount to about 700 devices, while at the end of 2025, 300 units were manufactured.

"BAS S 80 Agro" is a multicopter for agriculture, used for field treatment, fertilization, and seed sowing. The drone ensures increased yields, prevents soil compaction, and saves plant protection products and water. The payload of the device reaches 40 kg, the flight range is up to 3 km, and the processing speed is up to 18 hectares per hour. The production of agrodrones is organized at the sites of the company "Транспорт будущего" in the Samara and Belgorod regions.

Agrodron S-80 became the first helicopter-type UAS in Russia to receive a type certificate from Rosaviatsiya. Certification confirms the safety of the design and allows drones to be exported.

In 2030, it is planned to begin mass production of the "Донтех" unmanned hybrid tractor, which successfully passed field tests in 2025. The machine is designed for the agro-industrial and logging sectors, increases labor productivity, reduces the cost of owning equipment, and solves the problem of staff shortages. By 2035, the production of "Донтех" will be 150 units per year.
