The Ob-Irtysh branch of the Russian Classification Society (RCS) continues to carry out technical supervision of the construction of two pusher tugs of project T20. The vessels will serve crossings between Tobolsk and Bekerevo. This was reported by the RCS press service.
The new tugs will improve transport accessibility and the efficiency of water transport in the region. They will work in tandem with two non-self-propelled ferries.
Pusher tugs of project T20 are 20-meter shallow-draft vessels of the class "Р 1,2 (ice 30)". They are designed for towing and pushing vessels and floating objects.
Technical characteristics of pusher tugs of project T20:
- Length - 20.50 m
- Width - 6 m
- Height of board to the main deck - 2 m
- Power of the ship's power plant - 2 × 165 kW (331 hp)
- Free running speed - around 15 km/h
- Tug autonomy in terms of fuel and provisions - 5 days
- Crew - 3 people
