Two new pusher tugs are being built in Omsk

Project T20 vessels will operate between Tobolsk and Bekerevo

The Ob-Irtysh branch of the Russian Classification Society (RKO) continues to carry out technical supervision over the construction of two Project T20 pusher tugs. The vessels will service crossings between Tobolsk and Bekerevo. This was reported by the RKO press service.

The new tugs will improve transport accessibility and the efficiency of waterborne transport in the region. They will operate in tandem with two non-self-propelled ferries.

Project T20 pusher tugs are 20-meter shallow-draft vessels of class "R 1.2 (ice 30)". They are designed for towing and pushing vessels and floating objects.

Technical specifications of the Project T20 pusher tugs:

  • Length — 20.50 m
  • Beam — 6 m
  • Side height to the main deck — 2 m
  • Power of the shipboard power plant — 2 × 165 kW (331 hp)
  • Free-running speed — around 15 km/h
  • Tug autonomy in fuel and provisions — 5 days
  • Crew — 3 people

Earlier, www1.ru reported that in Zelenodolsk, the lead Project T3150-3D seagoing tug "Verman" was launched.
