The Ministry of Industry and Trade will support domestic shipbuilding enterprises in the form of subsidies. Their goal will be to partially cover the costs associated with the construction of civilian vessels for water transport.
The explanatory note of the department, accompanying the draft decision on the provision of such subsidies, states that the payment will amount to up to 20% of the cost of construction of these vessels.
The draft decision stipulates that Russian organizations will be able to receive subsidies to finance part of the costs associated with the construction of civilian water transport vessels, in the amount of up to 20% of the total cost of the vessel's construction. The funds will be issued after the completion of a certain stage of the vessel's construction.
1.6 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the support measure in 2026 rubles, 3.8 billion rubles in 2027, and another 3.2 billion rubles in 2028.
The funds are planned to be used to finance the construction of nine civilian vessels, including at shipyards in the Far Eastern Federal District.
The press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation reported to "Pervy Technicheskiy" that by 2036 in Russia more than 1.6 thousand units will be built of civilian vessels and marine equipment of various types. USC is also conducting a large-scale modernization of the "Severnaya Verf" in St. Petersburg, where frigates of project 22350 are produced.
However, experts have calculated that the construction of new ships in Russia coststhree times more expensive than in China. The root of the problem lies in low labor productivity and a large-scale lag in the level of automation and robotization.
