Ground robotic systems (NRTK) with elements of artificial intelligence (AI) are used by Ivanovo paratroopers for a wide range of tasks. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
What NRTKs are designed for:
- demining roads and territory
- delivery of ammunition and food
- reconnaissance
- evacuation of the wounded
- installation of a combat module to engage targets
The defense department clarified that ground robots can perform combat tasks in autonomous and remotely controlled modes.
Anti-personnel mines... are quite easily cleared by a ground drone. If you install a machine gun or AGS on it, it can engage targets.
What modules are installed on NRTKs:
- transport
- combat
- reconnaissance
- medical
- engineering
According to the serviceman, the robotic complex is also suitable for creating minefields. In the case of clearing the territory of explosive objects, chains and additional rollers are installed on the NRTK. Thanks to the reinforced tracked platform, after the detonation of mines with magnetic sensors, the drone will continue to move, Mafik explained.
