The opening of a new catalyst plant is scheduled for early 2026 in Omsk. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Omsk region emphasized that this production will fully meet the needs of the Russian oil refining industry.
In addition to the construction of the plant, other important projects will be implemented in the region. These include continued work on the production of engines for unmanned aerial vehicles. The "Polet" software and various enterprises of the defense industry complex are also being modernized.
The Omsk region ranks 2nd in Russia in terms of cluster development. About 120 companies participate in the project, including small and large enterprises. In 2026, it is planned to create five more interregional industrial clusters, which will contribute to the further development of the region's economy.
