An exclusive SUV, the UAZ-469, technically modified using components from the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, has appeared on the secondary market in Germany. The project is focused on extreme off-road driving and participation in trophy raids.
The author of the project retained the original dimensions and frame structure of the UAZ, which allows the car to meet the requirements of competitions among production SUVs. At the same time, almost all the chassis and power unit have been replaced with components from the G-Wagen. A Mercedes G230 gasoline engine with 136 hp is installed under the hood, paired with an automatic transmission. Short G-Class axles with forced locking and original steering are also integrated into the design.
Only the body, frame, and leaf spring suspension remain from the classic UAZ-469. At the same time, the car looks authentic on the outside: the black paint, round LED headlights, and even the leather interior emphasize its dual nature - vintage on the outside, modern on the inside.
The mileage is listed at around one million kilometers, but, according to the seller, most of the components have been replaced with new or refurbished ones, which makes the figure more symbolic. All lighting devices are in working order, and the preservation of serial dimensions opens up the possibility of participating in rally raids without the need to transfer to a modified class.
The cost of the car is 6,900 euros, which experts call an extremely attractive price for such a technically complex and unique vehicle. Interest in the lot is already being shown by both collectors and participants in off-road competitions looking for non-standard but functional solutions.
