LazerBuzz laser air defense system destroys drone at a range of 1 km for the first time

Developers have upgraded the system with new components

The new Russian laser counter-drone system LazerBuzz has, for the first time during testing, hit an FPV drone at a distance of 1 km. The range of the "Posokh" project installation has been increased due to new components and optimization of software algorithms.

The LazerBuzz complex managed to damage the battery and other details of the copter, the device burst into flames and fell.

The developers noted that they are actively continuing to work on laser air defense. Prior to this, the maximum operating range was 700 m.

Earlier it became known that LazerBuzz was taught to destroy aerial targets in 0.5 seconds in automatic mode.
