Digital Ruble: How the New Form of National Currency Will Integrate into Familiar Banking Apps

No separate mobile service for the digital currency is planned

The digital ruble will be integrated into existing banking applications; no separate mobile service is planned for it.

According to the Central Bank, the decision to abandon the development of a separate application is due to maintaining a user experience that is familiar to citizens and businesses.

The digital ruble will be used through the interfaces of already familiar banking services, which will allow users to master the new functionality without having to download and study new applications.

At the same time, the Central Bank emphasized that the digital ruble is not intended for investment or passive income: it does not need to be bought on the stock exchange, and interest will not be accrued on the account balance.

The digital ruble is a digital form of national currency that can be used for payments and transfers in the same way as cash, without special knowledge.
